KRISTIE MATUSZEWSKI
— ”My passion and adoration for all things creative are deeply rooted within.”
An unconventional personality, a love of working with my hands to create and a natural gravitation toward the visual arts, led me to my career path in Fine Arts and Art Conservation/ Restoration in the early 90’s.
After numerous years working as an art conservator for a prominent restoration company in NY, I later opened my own art conservation studio in L.I.C., Queens with a central focus on Hindu and Buddhist arts/antiquities of the 2nd century BC to the 19th century AD.
Years of restoring some pretty incredible art objects for galleries, auction houses, museums and private collectors in the U.S. and abroad, then led me to change my trajectory to children's shoe and accessories design. My daughter Lucille was born shortly after and then a move from NY up to the country followed.
Sharing my passion for art with her at a very young age and watching her create, inspired me to pursue art education for kids. My focus was on teaching after school art classes for grades K-8 including at a Montessori school, while working toward opening my own art space.
Today, I am where I am meant to be, the founder and owner of Find•Art Kids Studio.
Through creative exploration, hands-on learning and making experiences, young artists are creating works of art here that they and their families want to proudly display and will be treasured for years to come.
My work expertise and knowledge in the Fine Arts and Art Conservation allow me to share how the process, materials, tools, and patinas of the past can all be used cohesively to bring a broad spectrum of possibilities to create art in the present.
